    Introduction

In the offer of the Oslink company new devices are recently available - Osbridge 5GXt. It is interesting product because it introduces rare attitude in issue of connectivity point - point, with reference to ready solutions. The purpose of producer was designing devices being able to realize function of very performance wireless bridges, working at 5 GHz band but offering the much greater bandwidth than traditional PtP solutions, working in the 802.11a standard.

Osbridge 5GXt is formed by the very capacity platform in equipment layer, based on the XScale IXP425 Intel 533 MHz processor and two completely independent bandwidth. Depending on the version devices there are radio modules Atheros AR5006 for Osbridge 5GXt or Atheros AR5004 for the Osbridge 5GXt High Power version, used for realization of the long links. Devices have also integrated panel antennas about 23 dBi gain which the vertical and horizontal beamwidth is not exceedes 10 degrees. Osbridge 5GXt High Power - N is an exception having two N type female connectors for outside antennas instead of integrated antennas.

Thanks such a dual structure programme layer, Osbridge 5GXt is able to divide data exchanged between two parallel bandwidth. Depending on configuration making it is possible for two ways.

TRYB FULL DUPLEX = FULL DUPLEX MODE
TRYB HALF DUPLEX = HALF DUPLEX MODE

    ODBIÓR (Rx) = RECEIVER (Rx)
    NADAWANIE (Tx) = TRANSMITTING (Tx)

If devices are configured to work in the Full Duplex mode, one of bandwidth is responsible exclusively for transmission (Tx) and second only for reception (Rx).
In the Half Duplex mode transmitting and reception may occur both in one thing and the second bandwidth.

The purpose of report is to presented results of tests performance for devices which in these modes with using all sorts of network protocols.
