Overclocking through the WinBox
One should log with the Winbox program onto the device.
Choose New Terminal, next one by one write down:
>system routerboard settings set cpu-mode=regular
>system routerboard settings set cpu-frequency=333MHz
>system shutdown
(Curently sales Routerboard 532 let for setting maximal frequency of 399MHz clocking)
Next one should confirm the system shutdown:
After choosing „y”, we will loss connection with RB:
Now, one should unplug RB for a moment from power supplier and then start Winbox again and log onto RB. In the 'System' tab -> 'Resources' check current CPU rate.
Then enter command, which enable saving of current CPU frequency:
>system routerboard settings keep-frequency
Th e RouterBoard has already been ready to work with set CPU clock frequency, from this moment.
